Geology
Geology is the science that investigates planet Earth to maintain, preserve and distribute available resources.
Studying Geology aims to train professionals with the ability to analyze the structure of the planet, what elements allow its existence, which ones gave rise to it, how it behaves in response to different chemical and physical processes and how it evolved over time. Geologists investigate the layers of the Earth's crust, changes in rocks and any material that helps anticipate events such as earthquakes.
A professional's research never ends because Geology does not have static characteristics and every day changes occur in the terrain, floods and erupting volcanoes, among other events.
One of the goals of Geologists is to anticipate these types of situations to warn society. It studies the movement of the seas and the atmosphere and requires a great deal of data collection time for interpretation.
Geologists create reports and maps after interpreting their research, measure the seismic, gravitational, thermal heat and magnetic forces surrounding the Earth. They carry out their work in laboratories with specific technologies for analyzing results and can work in companies related to natural resources, in consulting firms and universities.
