The World Organization of Tourism Journalism promotes tourism journalism (a branch within journalism). Each year during the month of April it offers the virtual diploma in tourism journalism and tourism diploma in crisis management.

The W.O.T.J. aims to revalue and professionalize tourism activity in the field of communications and journalism, informing society about everything that happens in the area of tourism, without serving any interests other than those of plurality, inclusion and life in democracy.
