The Bachelor's Degree in Political Science at the Universidad Nacional de Rosario (UNR) trains professionals capable of understanding power relations, analyzing how the State works, and studying the links between institutions and society. This description corresponds to the 2018 Curriculum, approved by Superior Council Resolution No. 517/2018.

The degree is organized over five years and comprises 2,760 hours. The first three make up the Training Cycle, which provides the foundations of the discipline through courses in political theory, Argentine and Latin American history, sociology, economics, law, international relations, and public administration. This knowledge helps understand political problems within their historical, social, and economic context.

The final two years correspond to the Advanced Cycle, designed to deepen training and apply it to professional tasks. Elections, parties, political communication, management of public organizations, and comparison between political systems are studied. Students also learn to plan and evaluate public policies: identifying needs, proposing measures, and analyzing their results.

Research holds a central place throughout the degree. Methodology courses teach how to formulate questions, gather information, and analyze data using statistics, interviews, and other techniques. The goal is to build well-founded explanations of political and social phenomena.

The curriculum allows students to guide part of their training through four elective courses and two elective workshops.

They can be combined freely or linked to two tracks: Government and Administration, focused on public management, social policies, and projects; and Analysis and Political Thought, dedicated to ideas, debates, and political processes. To request recognition of a track on the academic transcript, students must pass three courses and two workshops from that same track.

To complete the bachelor's degree, students must complete a pre-professional internship at an institution, where they apply the knowledge acquired, and a Final Integrative Project. This project is prepared with the support of a workshop and requires a written submission and an oral defense before a committee. The program also includes two levels of language.

The curriculum includes an intermediate qualification of Bachiller Universitario, awarded upon completing 1,500 hours and the requirements of the Training Cycle. This credential is distinct from the Bachelor's Degree in Political Science.

The degree prepares you to work in political analysis, advisory services, institutional management, public policy, opinion studies and research. This knowledge can be applied in state agencies, social organizations, companies and educational and scientific institutions.
