A gerontologist is a health professional whose focus is the science of aging. They study the biopsychosocial changes that affect the aging of the population and the factors that influence the well-being of older adults. Gerontologists have interdisciplinary training and include the study of biology, sociology, medicine, psychology, economics and finance.
