The interesting thing about films is that screenwriters usually carry out a study of how each case is resolved, what arguments and what laws they can mention in their scripts. Whoever watches one of these movies learns a little more about the universe of laws and codes that work in different countries.
Among the movies most mentioned by lawyers is “To Kill a Mockingbird”, a film in which laws are mixed with the prejudices of a town in the United States. Coming to the present day, a highly recommended movie for analyzing the judicial system that includes the death penalty is “The Life of David Gale”, where the viewer is introduced to a world of testimonies and evidence that lead to an unmissable case to analyze as law students.
