Military University Technical Degree in Electronics
The Military University Technical Program in Electronics prepares you to work with electronic equipment and systems of the Ejército Argentino. It combines technical knowledge of circuits, communications and networks with the military training needed to serve as a non-commissioned officer.
This option may interest you if you are drawn to understanding how electronic devices work, solving technical problems and working in a team. It offers three guidances: Garrison Communications, Field Communications and Radar Systems.
Degree information
- Degree awarded: Military University Technician in Electronics.
- Academic level: Undergraduate university level.
- Duration: 2 and a half years.
- Total workload: 2,152 hours, according to the curriculum consulted.
- University: Universidad de la Defensa Nacional.

What will you learn?
The degree provides an understanding of the fundamentals of electronics and their application in different communication systems. Students cover content on electrical measurement, circuits, digital techniques, computing and information transmission.
This knowledge serves as a basis for taking part in installation, operation, configuration and maintenance tasks. The specific preparation depends on the rank held and the type of equipment you will work with.
How is the training organized?
The program combines a common section with a guidance section.
The common section brings together general knowledge and scientific and technological fundamentals. The guidance section explores the specialty in greater depth and includes professionalizing practice, where learning is integrated in work-related situations.
The training also promotes responsibility, adaptability and collaboration with other members of the military organization.
The three guidances
Garrison Communications
It corresponds to the Fixed Equipment rank. It focuses on the permanent networks and installations that allow Army organizations to communicate and connect them with external services.
The training covers equipment, physical links and radiofrequency communications, with competencies to assist in their installation, configuration, operation and repair.
Field Communications
It corresponds to the Field Equipment rank. It focuses on communications systems used temporarily and designed to operate in demanding environmental conditions.
It includes telephony equipment, data networks and radio communications. Its profile includes installation, operation and maintenance tasks within the specialty.
Radar Systems
It corresponds to the Radar rank. It covers the installation, operation and maintenance of radar equipment used by the Army, both in permanent installations and in the field.
Specific training is complemented by laboratory activities and a work-based practicum specific to the guidance.
