Fine Arts

The Fine Arts degree teaches you to think visually and graphically, and to use your artistic ability. You'll learn to communicate visually through drawing, sketching, animation, painting, sculpture, photography, video and much more.

There is no degree that will make you an artist. But you can learn to develop your creative ideas in the best way.

How? By studying fine arts. In the fine arts degree you learn to develop your unique vision, you get to know a little about each of the disciplines and you decide which one to specialize in.

What do you learn in the Fine Arts degree?

Fine arts date back to ancient Greece, where they were classified as major arts and minor arts. The major arts were those that reached people through sight and hearing, and the minor ones were perceived through touch, taste and smell.

The fine arts are a form of expression, they are also classified as a universal form of language in which aesthetics and beauty stand out. These forms of expression are no longer classified by the medium through which they are transmitted, although all seven are perceived through hearing and sight.

These are: architecture, sculpture, painting, music, literature, dance and film. Devoting yourself to any of these disciplines is not only expressing yourself, it is also a way to stay healthy, to heal your soul by saying what you feel through a very beautiful medium, which we call: ART.

If you are a creative person, who likes to reach people through dance or books, interested in showing the world your vision of it, if you want to change the world in a peaceful way by showing people what is wrong for you, and somehow raise awareness, this degree is your best option.

After completing this degree or perhaps specializing in one of these disciplines you can, among other things, make a living from your work as an artist, give workshops or teach art classes in schools.

The Fine Arts degree is offered in many different courses. In the course called Art History, we learn about world art and all the different styles and techniques in the world. The first two years include art history, painting, drawing, photography, sculpture, ceramics, printmaking and art history.

Disadvantages of studying Fine Arts

Fine Arts is not for everyone. It's true that fine arts and art history can be very rewarding and exciting, but the truth is that you'll have to work hard and be disciplined to achieve success in art.

Fine Arts are at a disadvantage because they are difficult to practice. The fine arts discipline takes years to perfect and master. Many people who try fail because they are unable to commit to doing something for an extended period of time.

In conclusion, Fine Arts have their roots in ancient Greece, where aesthetics was considered an important art form. Fine Arts are a form of expression that combines natural materials, such as paint and canvas, with human imagination.
