What education degrees are there in Mexico

There are education degrees at public and private universities in Ciudad de México, Tuxtla Gutiérrez, Aguascalientes, Tijuana, Mexicali, Campeche or Ciudad del Carmen, among other cities. Each one sets its program name, its curriculum and its requirements, so it's worth reading the curriculum and not just going by the name.

It's not all about teaching a class in a classroom: there are degrees for studying how education works, for supporting how each person learns or for looking after how a school runs. If you choose a private institution, ask about its reconocimiento de validez oficial (RVOE) with the Secretaría de Educación Pública.

How to choose between them

Notice what you do without being asked: helping someone younger with reading, sharing out tasks in a team, explaining a topic until it clicks.

Then think about whether you see yourself in front of a group, working with one person at a time or looking at how a school is organized. The first is more like Education or Early Childhood Education; the second, Psychopedagogy; the third, Educational Management.

If you're torn between Educational Sciences and Psychopedagogy, open both profiles, compare the subjects and see what the institution you're interested in requires for admission. The career test can give you another clue.
