What you do in these degrees

They are studied by reading, writing, researching and discussing. You work with texts, surveys, interviews and cases to understand how people live and think, and you learn to defend your conclusions with arguments. How assessment works is defined by each program.

They are university undergraduate programs in public and private institutions in Bogotá, Medellín, Cali, Barranquilla, Manizales, Armenia or Quibdó, among other cities. Check in the SNIES that the program has qualified registration.

How to choose between them

Notice what you do when no one asks you to: if you read late into the night, if you analyze the news with your family, if you are the one friends confide their problems to in your group or if you write without being told to.

Then ask yourself what you want to understand: a person, a group or an entire society. If literature appeals to you, look at Literature; if you are interested in how resources are used, Economics; and if you care about people's well-being, Social Work.

If you are torn between Literature and Economics, keep in mind that they require different habits: one revolves around reading works and the other around analyzing how resources are used. For another clue, try the career test.
