How to choose between them

Think about what you do when no one asks you to: if you read for fun, if you're interested in what happens in your community, if you're the one who listens when someone is feeling bad.

Then define what interests you most: understanding a person, a group or a period. If you're drawn to what happened before, look at History; if you're interested in how different cultures live, Anthropology; and if you want to work with people's problems, Social Work.

If you're torn between History and Anthropology, remember that both look at people, one in time and the other in space, and check how much weight each approach has in the curricula. The career test guides you.
