How to choose between them
Think about what you do for fun: whether you write, edit videos, record audio, are interested in what makes a brand appealing, or run social media for a group.
Then decide what role you see yourself in: reporting what happens, creating the idea, producing behind the cameras or analysing what the audience wants. If you are drawn to thinking about how a brand becomes known, Advertising may suit you better than Journalism.
If you are torn between Journalism and Marketing, compare their subjects and see which faculties are within a reasonable distance. The career test can help you decide which one to start looking at.
